Find Your God Forums

Our main aim here at FYG is to provide young people (though we don't really limit things to an age group) with a comfortable place to gather and discussing a variety of topics, from what you ate today to why you feel abortion should or should not be legalized.

We want to foster an open environment where people feel free to voice their views and opinions without being hassled, and can have fun doing it. All our boards are moderated, and we try very hard to balance freedom of speech with rules to make sure the atmosphere is safe and friendly for our members. To that end, we allow almost any ideas to be discussed, as long as it is done in a civil, clean, and respectful manner. (legality is strongly suggested as well) We attempt to hold this forum to a higher standard of than the average "teen hang out" board.

Though our forum is far from exclusively Christian, a lot of the posters and most of the staff here belong to the Christian faith. We started out as a splinter from a Christian forum geared towards serious issues, and most of our long time members (believers and skeptics alike) came from there. But, while we still carry much of that flavor, we decided to make our board more open, as it was the lack of freedom that caused many of us to leave the original board.

In our higher minded moments, on days when our staff hasn't done anything too foolish, we aspire to be a "forum" in the older sense of the word: a place where people can come to ask questions, and perhaps find help or answers, about some of the larger questions in life. In the words of Jessica, one of the forum's founders:

"This is a place of philosophical and religious debate and discussion. At the end of the day, seeing others logically support their chosen systems of faith can help you decide some things for yourself based on the witness of others. So this forum could, in theory, help you find your god."

But, whether you're here to goof around, make friends, and relax, or to have a debate about the meaning of existence, we think FYG is a good place for you to be. So come in--we look foreword to hearing from you.
